1. My foundation cracks (glass bottle meets ceramic floor, not pretty).
2. The last of my blue eye shadow crumbles in my makeup bag into a fine powder and coats everything in my bag leaving no salvageable chunks.
3. I left my eyelash curler behind on my holiday travels.
4. I open my Mac compact only to find the powder has broken. I actually don't remember dropping it, so the "how" remains a mystery to me (husband? baby? I think they are wise not to step forward with any information).
The Remains of my powder and foundation
All of these things have left me teetering on the edge of rehab breakdown... but unfortunately our "no makeup" rule is still in effect. That is the thing about rehab, just because something pisses you off doesn't mean you can just give it up. I will still use the powder and attempt to get the last drop out foundation out of the broken bottle. My mother-in-law kindly said she would ship me they eyelash curler (it is Shu Uemura- a gift from P years ago-not something you just let go) but the eye shadow will be counted as a loss.
One (and ONLY one) positive note: I saved myself from going out and spending $60.

i have actually wet my broken bronzer then patted it flat-ish with a spoon and let it dry overnight and it is usable - not a perfect fix but better than loose powder all over...just a tip ;)
That is such a great tip! I have never done that before but will give it a try. I had another person recently suggest mixing the rest of my liquid foundation with a moisturizer to make it more like a tinted moisturizer which I also thought was genius. Here's hoping nothing else breaks! Thank you!Love, A
