Getting some snaps of the 2010 styles was a bit harder than I thought it would be (how come retailers frown on photo-taking? I realise they don't want cheap imitations, but what about those of us that just want to throw some love thier way?) I did manage to get a few shots and it was almost as good as being able to buy something.
Okay, no it wasn't.
The red and blackwatch plaid caught my eye first. How cute is the thermal on the right? I also really love the toque (such a marvy Canadian word!), however, I do not recommend wearing them together.
The piece de resistance... is the amazing 100% cashmere skull cap with the iconic Hudson's Bay colours and little 2010 logo. I snuck into the changeroom to take this self-portrait and I really, really, really didn't want to take it off.
In fact, I didn't. I just walked through the door and kept on.... Okay, okay. That's a lie. But this was one item I had a hard time walking away from. I walked. But I walked very, very slowly.
Love, P

LOL! Okay, a not-so-secret ploy of mine when I am tempted by pricey designer goods (or, more dangerously, a bargain I will never wear but whose price makes it nigh-impossible for me to resist) is to take a sneaky photo of myself wearing it! It requires a certain amount of stealth: either holding the camera in a low and nonchalant way as one feigns an assessment in a mirror in the middle of the store, or, as you demonstrate so stylishly here, a sneaky trip to the change room. Well done!
(I can't believe they let you try on an accessory in the change room! :) )
I find that having the photographic evidence for posterity can work wonders in preventing me from making ill-advised purchases. Added bonus? I can feel all triumphant for having resisted the urge to buy yet another cocktail frock/evening jacket/pair of torturously-uncomfortable-totally-the-wrong-colour-for-my-wardrobe pair of shoes/insert-ridiculously-impractical-item-here I will never, ever wear!
I love that thermal shirt and the cute beret/toque, too!
WOW great advice!!!
I need a new small sneaky camera as mine is too big to tote around!!
Perdy that togue rocks!!
