vs.
So obviously there are some major differences, but the essence of the looks are the same. A black and white striped top with a black A-line skirt. Stripes are so Parisian, I love them! I do think the bow on the Charlotte Russe dress is pretty fantastic but... I don't think it is a make or break feature of this outfit.
After creating my own version of this outfit I can confidently say that I will not need to purchase the above dress. The only thing I do need, however, is a beret and a one-way ticket to Paris so I can lounge about sipping red wine on the Champs-Élysées!

Good call!!
I took a lesson from 365FR the other day when I found a super cute grey sweater dress in a shop. I was so tempted to buy it when I stopped, thought about my wardrobe, and realized that I have a dress almost similar to it already. I was very proud of myself!
We are so proud of you, too! Love, A&P
Looking good Miss A! I'm très impressed with your creativity! xoxo
Thanks, Kate! There are so many times when we buy new things yet we already have something like it hanging in our closets! Obviously the thrill of the newness of an item is hard to resist, we just need to pick our battles. There are so many things for Spring that seem totally fresh and beautiful. I will have to do another closet sweep and see if I can come up with something the screams Spring 2010! Love, A
Great match and very inspiring! I need to look through my closet to see if I can do something similar for the new season!
Thanks, Lyndsay! I feel like a lot of the time we see trends and think we must buy something from the season to keep up, but in reality we have been wearing these items for years.
Like how neutrals are so in for this Spring. I already own a pair of khakis, a utility inspired coat, and a pale pink fine gauge sweater that all fall under the "neutral' umbrella, so I can still be in trend but not have to go out and buy something. I bet you have something similar in your closet, too!
Good luck! Love, A
