Closets & Cocktails with A

One of our new features here at 365 FR is "Closets & Cocktails" where we get to take a glimpse into the closets of some of the most fashionable people we know. For this inaugural installment, I thought we'd start with A. Who better to get the ball rolling? I don't know many people who love fashion (and bevvies) more than her!

What is your style motto? -- "Classic with a twist". I basically love all things black, white and gray but love to add punch to an outfit with a red shoe or a cobalt top. I dabble in the trends (my new oversized Liberty print blouse is a testament to that). I love to look updated but I never ever want my style (or myself, for that matter) to be a considered a "flash in the pan".

If you could change one thing about your closet, what would it be? -- I would love to have a new one! Or if I could up the square footage, I would be so happy. My dream is to have a shelf with slots for my bags and to have a place to stack clear shoeboxes for easy access. Oh, and I would die for a jewelry drawer like Rachel Zoe.

Who's style, past or present, do you most admire? -- Today it is Brigitte Bardot. I don't know if it is because I am obsessed with all things related to St. Tropez, or just that I love French wine and striped shirts. I really just think she was the epitome of all things sexy and stylish. I have tried the uber blond hair and it is not for me, but there are other parts of her style that I like to embrace - the cut-off shorts and the smoky eye for instance.

What is the most treasured possession in your closet? -- I would have to say it is one of these two handbags above. My mom recently gave me a beautiful snakeskin clutch that once belonged to my great aunt so it holds a special place in my heart. But I would be lying if I didn't say my recently purchased Gucci bag wasn't a contender.

What is your greatest shopping regret? -- A nylon hobo Fendi baguette at Michael's consignment in NYC. I went in on May 14th (the day before Fashion Rehab ended!), saw it, lusted over it, and hid it at the back of a rack praying that no one would buy it within the next 24 hours. I returned on May 15th only to be told that it had sold that morning!!!! I held back tears as the salesperson said "You know, you really should have just bought it when you saw it yesterday, bags like that don't stick around for very long". I have since scoured eBay in the hopes that someone bought it just to resell it, but no such luck!

Bonus Question: What is your favorite cocktail? -- Hands down, a Bombay Sapphire martini, straight up, with olives.
