The Coach Confessional

My mom just called me with her latest shopping confession. Due to the heightened excitement in her voice, I had braced myself to hear about a purchase that would be totally off the wall, like a cashmere Snuggie or something (which actually might not have been a bad thing...Snuggie, are you listening?). I breathed a sigh of relief when she said that her new purchases were from the recently opened Coach store in her neighborhood. Fearing that she had committed some kind of cardinal sin (or at least a Fashion Rehab faux pas), she called for advice. She bought a wallet and a change purse, but it wasn't in black or brown, or even the Coach signature print, it was in lilac! What did I think? Well, I thought it was awesome! What a perfect way to add splash to your accessories collection!

By choosing colorful prints for your "behind the scenes" items you will get so much wear out of them. You don't need to coordinate them with your wardrobe, and they need not fall into any kind of color matching quandary. For your totes, hobos, and shoulder bags, I say classic colors all the way. Speaking of classic colors, I couldn't sign off on this post without showing you these two pairs of beautiful shoes from the Coach site. It would be selfish of me not to!

Um...where was I? Sorry, I just got really distracted by the above shoes, so classic, lovely leather...OK I am back. Anyway, I just wanted to send this shout-out to my mom saying that I thought she made great choices, and hope that next time she hits up the Coach store she thinks of me (fondly, not as in thinks of me to buy me something, oh, but that would be nice, too - just joking, Mom!).
