Birkenstock Sandals $69.99 at Amazon
I bet you'd never thought you'd see the word "Birkenstock" on a fashion site.Well, guess what? Me neither. But I have friends who absolutely swear by these, dare I say, cute t-strappers. My haviannas are almost worn through and are leaving my comfy summer shoe department a little barren.
After our amazing trip to NYC, where the lovely Miss A and I walked 37 blocks in a single day, I found myself practically dreaming of these.
Thoughts?

I swear by these Birks! I have them in gold-brown and they are simply amazing. I used to be one of those people who lived in my flip flops during the summer....ugh...never again!
These are a MUST :)
Hey, love your blog! I can't decide what I think of these shoes. I kinda like them and I knowww that they are comfy but they kinda remind me of my dads summer shoes! (I clicked must rather than lust)but then they kinda lookk cool? xxx

Since breaking my foot in May, I have ONLY been able to wear these. I swore I'd NEVER wear them, but the universe conspired against me and, I must admit, they do look pretty good and they are REALLY comfy!
I can't believe I am gonna say this, but I think they might be a "must"! :)
I love Birkenstocks! They are not a lust, they are a must. They are super cute and great for your feet.
Just a warning - Target sells a cheap version of these but do not buy them! They have a HORRIBLE chemical smell. It is bad enough that my entire closet absorbed the smell. Uggh!
But I love the Birkenstock ones :-) I don't have this style, but my Birks are definitely comfortable!
I've been lusting after a pair of Birckenstocks too lately, even though I never thought I'd cave for these allegedly unsexy sandals. But I've tried them on in the store... they are heavenly! I hoped they would go on sale this summer... but nope, these babies don't go on sale. Dang them classics!
I have a pair and they are the best walking shoe for the summer ever. And even a few of my friends who at first affectionately referred to them as my "grandma shoes" have now gotten pairs for themselves. Absolutely love them and they are an investment you will have for years!
Okay I have to express a contrary viewpoint. I wanted a pair of Birks and tried a number of them. Walking around our local shoe store my feet hurt. Everyone says how wonderful they are but they just did not fit my feet properly. Even the soft soled kind felt too hard. So if you go for them just make sure you test them out WELL!!
I kinda want a pair of birks , because I really have no business wearing flip flops- I am extremely flat footed , and may have a case of plantar fascilitis- this may be it. I think they would be a good buy for you , especially if you know that you walk around a lot
I can't believe the overwhelming response! A whopping 71% (at last count) think these Birks are a must.Who knew?
I'm so glad I asked you guys!

I love Birkis. I own a lot of them (I work part-time in retail and most ladies wear Birkenstocks, Clarks, Danskos, Rockport, or Naturalizer for all those hours on your feet). QVC.com carries a ton of them in various styles (thong, backstrap, curved strap, double strap, triple-strap, clogs, beach/waterproof, and at one time a wraparound strap up the ankle). You can get patent, suede, leather, man-made, printed, patterned, or solid color styles. I have several of the patent and metallic styles. A co-worker has several of the thong styles from QVC. The website has been selling Birkis for at least 10 years. Another co-worker has a pair of Birkenstock boots from Germany.
