PSS is also in very good company. Two of our other favorite bloggers, Emily from Cupcakes and Cashmere and Niki from A Haute Mess have also vetted these show-stoppers. But how to choose? I have narrowed it down to three, pictured below.

JC Tick Wedges: Nude leather with silver studs, Black leather with silver studs, Natural burlap with bronze studs all from Karmaloop
I am so excited by my new obsession that I am filled with questions! Now that we are shopping wisely, I want to be smart about this purchase, which leads me to the peep-toe-or-no-peep-toe debate. For the no-peep, I have chosen these...(I guess I kind of fibbed when I said above that I had narrowed it down to three!)

The JC Ticket Wedge sans peep-toe in black with gold studs or silver from Solestruck
So, even though I have learned so much during my year of going without, I feel like I need some feedback on this one. What do you think? These marvy booties are reasonably priced, so when you make your choice try to think simply, "What would the conscious shopper do?"
Thanks, in advance.
Love, P

Well, you're either in Toronto or San Fran (I don't know which of you is where!), so I'd go with the closed toes. As cute as the open toes are, there aren't that many months of the year when you can actually wear them without freezing your tootsies off. And I prefer the silver, but that's just a personal choice. They're both gorgeous. Good luck!

these booties are a hot mess--a reformed shopaholic would refrain. They are so showy and not in a good way.
I ADORE Jeffrey Campbell!!!
I've just done a post on their shoes too :)
I love the black peep toe with silver studs! Throw on some black tights and they'll look like full booties. Versatile!
I agree 100% with Anonymous. Sorry.
I am 100% with Lauren! Get' em! Also, here is a debate for you to raise: peep toes in "off season" with tights or not? I used to be staunchly in the NO WAY camp, but have come to really love the look of peep toes and tights, so I think they would be quite useful in all seasons in the black with silver studs.
(Caveat: my very favourite shoes are black shbooties with studded heels, so I may not count as an "objective opinion" here.... ;) )
While I think the tick is all kinds of awesome, as a reformed shopaholic I would follow this great Tick DIY tutorial and shave about $120 off the cost.
Chic on the Cheap
I do own a pair of Jeffrey Campbell sandals and they are MARVY!!! i personally think these are a little flashy (like anonymous stated) but if you can do it go for it. In Toronto, Id go closed toes. enjoy!
i agree with anonymous and kristie as well, but if you really2 want to get it, i think it's wiser to get the closed toe :)
i agree with asteria! the closed toe would look much more edgy. GET THE BLACK ONES.
