Friday night's show featured a montage of some of my favorite contemporary designers; Clu, Generra, Black Halo and 12th Street by Cynthia Vincent, as shown by local online retailer, Fashionistette.com. Old turned new with a beautiful collection by local designer Joy Fan of Vintage Joy. (Think black lace layered over purple underthings with bright red lips and coiffed 'dos.) Work Clothes celebrated all things summer with an homage to the true California girl. Fedoras, mini dresses, and fun printed tees were the stars of their show.
Outside of Friday's event with my beloved SF ladies: actor and comedienne, Shaye Troha (left), and Catherine Hopkins of BB Dakota (center).
Alyssa Nicole's pretty party dresses
Alexandria von Bromssen, Alyssa Nicole, Chan.nel Karama LTD, Kathryn McCarron, and Valpixel were the headliners for Saturday night's show. I was blown away by Chan.nel Karama's dominatrix vibed show with her structured jackets and modern black and white prints. Although extreme, there were actually a lot of very wearable pieces and there even was swimwear. Kathryn McCarron showed sexy knits with red peekaboo lace, and Alyssa Nicole's cocktail dress collection (created by 18 year-old Alyssa Casares) would satisfy any pop princess's dream. For more pics and notes from the show please check out The Beauty Bohemian's San Francisco Fashion Week roundup.
Congratulations to the SFFAMA and all of the designers for the success of the show! Can't wait to see what's next!
Love, A

Looks like a great time, Ali!
Your looking glam, as usual, in the pic. I would love to have a day to raid yours and P's closet.
It is one of my goals before I die to attend a real, live fashion show. How do regular folk get into one?
It was so fun! The fashion was great and the company delightful! Love, A
Hi YM! I am a regular folk! You are too kind. All you need to do is get involved with your fashion community. Sign up for email alerts or if there isn't a lot of fashion happening where you live, next time you go on a trip try to attend a show there. There are so many shows that are put on for charity, too, so you can give back and watch the models strut the catwalk. Keep us posted! Love, A
Thanks for the info, A. I will check into it.
