I am an incredibly lucky girl. I will be leaving in a mere two days, on my way to NYC, the IFB conference and New York Fashion week. I am so excited! Excited to get on a plane and out of dodge, excited to meet up with my peers (and hopefully make some new friends) at a conference featuring some of my/our favorite bloggers: Emily from Cupcakes and Cashmere, Jennine from The Coveted and Amy from The Cut, to name but a few, and excited to feel the pure electricity that can only come from being in the fashion mecca of the world during the week that celebrates fashion's very existence. The only way it could be any better is if my girl A was coming with. Sadly the West coast is just too far from... well, the East coast.

But here's the thing; the Independent Fashion Blogger's conference will be all day Thursday and I am lucky enough to have some marvy friends that I'll get to spend time with on Wednesday afternoon/evening, but Friday, Friday is wiiiii-de open. So I ask you: where would you shopping in NYC with 8 hours and a modest budget? Of course, I have been thinking of all the shops I'd like to go to, but sadly, when you have limited funds, you have to choose wisely.
So, help me out. Leave a comment below and give me some advice. I am excited to have a little shop in NYC and I'll do it wisely. I promise.

When I went to NYC a couple of years ago I was really impressed with Century 21 - it's a dept store next to Ground Zero and it's basically all discounted designer stuff! I got a $300 Stella MacCartney for LeSportSac carryall there for like $80! I'm sure there are some amazing vintage stores there too, though I didn't visit any. Have fun! (jealous!!)
I dont live in NYC......but will be relocating there in a couple years..Id know the answer then, lol...Im sure someone will have some really great spots for you!!

hey perdy! great to meet you at the ifb conference yesterday! how long did you hang out at the party? i met up with my friend for a night on the town...we ended up at this cool speakeasy in the theatre district where we saw zach braff, sean hayes and bradley cooper--all at the same table...swoon! anyhoo, i will definitely be back to check out your blog on a regular basis...love it! kate
