Lust-Have Lookback: February

It's that time again! The Lust-Have Lookback! P and I both had beauty on the brain in February (she with her lippy and me with my falsies). It can be such a blah month, so what better way to brighten those winter blues than with a fresh face? Did we give into to our urges? You'll have to read below to find out!

February began with P lusting over a Marc by Marc Jacobs bikini. An odd time of year to shop for beachwear, or a genius way to get a good deal off season? For some it was an obvious Must. As the lucky-living-in-Miami blogger, StyleID, pointed out, "It's never too early to get ready for summer, and you may not find it later". The votes were deadlocked at 50/50 (love when that happens!) but P decided not to take the plunge. Those lazy days of summer just seemed too far away!

Next up was the Topshop Western cardi. I loved it, but it definitely was not a fan favorite! With only 17% of you voting it as a Must, I realized I needed to take some time to think about how it would fit in my wardrobe and if it had any longevity. In the end I passed on it. That sweater was way too spendy for something so trendy.

Things took a turn for the better when P announced her desire for the reinvented Clinique Chubby Stick. An overwhelming 98% of you (yes, that's right!) said it was a definite Must! Imagine my surprise when I found out that P had not yet purchased this bright and beautiful lip color. Apparently it is a modified (not identical) version of the one P loved in her teens and she is unsure if it will garner the same satisfaction as it did back in the day. I suspect this isn't the last we've seen of the chubby stick.

My need for the Sephora false eyelashes was met with a near split on the Lust or Must o-meter, with Must beating out Lust by a mere 3%. Many of you are a fan of MAC's falsies (especially the individual ones) and Kaydee from Playing Grown Up had the brilliant suggestion of buying a cheap drugstore pair to play around with before moving on to the pricier sets. I haven't had a chance to buy any but they are definitely on my to do list! With less than a month to go before baby #2 makes her debut, the only thing I am buying as of late that comes in small packages are pacifiers and diaper cream. My time will come...

So there you have it! We did not purchase ANYTHING from our "Lust or Must" list in February! Shocking, yes? However, March's Lust-Have's are looking mighty fab so stay tuned for that roundup mid-April!
